Event Details:
The Lombardi Award Firefighter Initiative, a new project chaired by Vicki Brentin, immediate past chair of the 50th Anniversary Lombardi Award, will kick off on December 11, 2024 with a special event in Denver, Colorado in which the Houston Award Gala will be streamed. This private event will include Colorado Firefighters, CFSN representatives, invited media, donors and celebrity athletes to include the 1994 Lombardi Award winner, Warren Sapp.
The event will introduce a new on-line campaign, and other activities planned during January, Firefighter Cancer Awareness month. The primary location for these January activities in this exciting pilot will be in Colorado. However, there will be some additional activities planned for New York, California and Texas.
It is our expectation that following a successful pilot initiative, we will renew the collaboration and make plans to further expand this to be an annual national campaign.
