Health and Wellness Advisory Council:
Our Health and Wellness Advisory Council consists of researchers and practitioners who serve as critical subject matter experts to help FCSN achieve our vision to be the global leader in firefighter support, awareness, and education. We’re proud to welcome two leading doctors to our council:
Dr. Kenny Fent, Head of NIOSH National Firefighter Registry for Cancer
Dr. Kenny Fent is a research industrial hygienist and currently the head of the National Firefighter Registry (NFR) for Cancer at NIOSH. He has spent 15 years studying firefighters’ exposures and health effects and published over 80 scientific articles and reports. His research findings have provided evidence to support a variety of control measures to reduce carcinogenic exposures in the fire service. He is also a Commander in the U.S. Public Health Service and has responded to public health emergencies in the United States and abroad.
Dr. Christine Kannler, Dermatologist
Christine is a dermatologist and Mohs micrographic surgeon in North Andover, Mass., and Manchester, New Hampshire, where she has been practicing for over 15 years.
