Our Sustaining Alliances help us achieve our mission by satisfying our need for a comprehensive and personalized wellness approach to our nation’s firefighters diagnosed with cancer. VCU Massey Cancer Center is proud to be a National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated cancer center. Massey’s nationally recognized research programs comprise nearly 150 research members discovering and developing a future without cancer.
“Massey Cancer Center is glad to formalize this alliance and we look forward to working with FCSN and their national and local team in the months and years to come,” said Bernard F. Fuemmeler, PhD, MPH.
“Firefighters across Virginia and the surrounding states now have another trusted facility they can turn to should they ever hear those horrible words ‘you have cancer’, said Joe Schumacher, FCSN Chief Operating Officer, and three-time cancer survivor.
Thank you VCU Massey Cancer Center for taking care of firefighters diagnosed with cancer and supporting them on their journey from diagnosis to treatment and recovery.
