Join FCSN for gala fundraiser to help firefighters with cancer
Firefighter cancer nonprofit’s ‘Leading the Way’ gala marks 13th anniversary of service and support for firefighters and their families
Since 2005, FCSN has helped thousands of firefighters and their families cope with cancer. During the Gala we’ll be joined by survivors we’ve helped along the way, including many who are now helping other firefighters through their cancer diagnosis, treatment, and recovery phases. We’re also welcoming the other survivors – the families, friends, and colleagues of those who have passed on. We hope you’ll join us for a fun evening with cocktails, dinner, silent and live auctions with special guest emcee Jamie Kaler.
Jamie Kaler is an American stand-up comedian and actor who has gained fame by portraying the character Mike Callahan on the TBS comedy “My Boys”. Kaler is the current host of “America: Facts vs. Fiction” on American Heroes Channel. He has appeared on such talk shows as the Late Late Show as well as having a role on the sitcom How I Met Your Mother, and had a recurring role on Will and Grace. Kaler also lends his voice to the show Robot Chicken, as the suicidal blooper host. He is a member of the ACME Company, ACME Comedy Theatre’s top-level sketch company and has also made guest appearances on Friends, The King of Queens, Shake It Up and Monk.
New Caribbean is an eclectic mix of contemporary music infused with the Caribbean flavor of Calypso, Soca and Reggae. Founded by keyboardist/vocalist Oliver “Uncle Ollie” Williams in 1987, New Caribbean’s members represent Granada, Trinidad, Belize and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Alongside Uncle Ollie, the group’s core consists of steel pan player/vocalist Einstein Brown of Sapadilla Music (Chaka Khan); bassist/vocalist Philip Thompson “Barrister”, a Musician’s Institute graduate; drummer/vocalist Robert “B-Bow” Abraham, (Grammy Award Wining Artist Fauzi Beydoun); touring Guitarist John McNight (Fishbone) and Sound Engineer Rick “RC” Calderilla. As Einstein always says, “This is music for your bone structure.” For bookings: email@example.com / (818) 358-5700
